Big Pasco Security Guard
Full-Time Shift Work Position (Nights and Weekends)
The Port of Pasco has an immediate opening for a full-time Security Guard. The primary function of this position is to safeguard Port of Pasco buildings and property within the Big Pasco Industrial Center and Marine Terminal from theft, damage, sabotage, and conduct routine patrols of the warehouses, buildings, trail system and open land for fire protection and security. This position is not a law enforcement.
Prospective employee must pass a pre-employment physical and a drug-screening test, must possess a valid driver’s license and a high-school diploma or GED
Work schedule: Graveyard/shift work and may include weekends and holidays.
Wages and Benefits: Starting wage for the position is $22.68/hour.
For all full-time employees, the Port of Pasco provides the following benefits for the 2026 year: 100% employer paid medical, dental, vision, long-term disability, and life insurance, and Employee Assistance Program, provided through the AWC Employee Benefits Trust. Participation in the Washington State Department of Retirement Systems, PERS, as determined by employee eligibility.
Optional (employee elected) benefits include up to 4% match for the Deferred Compensation Program as provided by the Washington State Department of Retirement Systems- based on the employee’s contribution, FSA, and supplemental insurance.
Full-time employees accrue 22 days of PTO per year, and 12 paid holidays.
